Beautiful day with temperatures climbing from the high 40s into the low 60s. Mostly sunny except for about 5 minutes at the start of lunch when we had a light shower.
The drive to the TH was about 50 minutes via Anderson Creek Road. The trail is in excellent shape; the poison oak has been cut back and even the pop up stones have been painted.
We were at the lunch spot by 12:15 and down to the Little Applegate TH by 1:45. At lunch we were talking about walking up to the ridge and wondering how much higher it was than our lunch spot. Turns out that Goat Cabin Ridge is about 1,000' higher.
We took refreshment at Alex's, which received good reviews for food and service.
